Giovanni Tozzetti grew up in a family with very deep roots in the Arts. His grandfather and two of his uncles were well known sculptors in Italy : the Fiordigiglio family . He studied drawing and sculpture from his childhood under the guidance of his uncle Vicenzo, in his Atelier of Via Margutta in Rome. Then five years in the local Scuola Statale delle Arti ( National College of Arts ) in Via Gesu'e Maria in Rome, where he enriched and completed his professional knowledge in fine arts. Awards - 1st prize Fairfield City Art Society 1993, Annual exhibition, Contemporary section. Highly Commended in 1995 Arts Alive, Works on paper, Annual exhibition. He has exhibited his work in numerous group art exhibitions in Italy, Australia and the Philippines. He has had individual art exhibitions in 1990, in Limassol - Cyprus, 1991 in Sydney, at the Fairfield Art Centre. A retrospective exhibition of his work was exhibited in 1997, at the STEIN Gallery-Fairfield Museum at the Regional Heritage Centre. His latest Contemporary work was exhibited October 1997, at the Sydney Hilton. His work can be found in private collections in Italy, United Kingdom, USA, Australia and Cyprus.
